New York seems to have always been a force for bold and beautiful electronic music, the center of the musical universe. From Disco to Electro to Hip Hop to helping House music find its place in the world. It has always been a thriving hub for discovering and unearthing something new and exciting.
And a shiny new disco ball has certainly made its home there since early 2000 with a strong community-based core of producers and DJs taking a new re-interpretation of this seminal dance music groove to the world.
One of these people is Prince Language, a native of House music's homeland of Chicago, but now residing in New York.
Language's credits include remixes for LCD Soundsystem, The Rapture, MGMT, Lindstrom, The Juan Maclean (DFA), Armand Van Helden, Joakim, Editors and Sons And Daughters as well as numerous re-edits for the mysterious Editions Disco label. He's had great success with NYC parties like Stoned Soul and NegroClash as well as being behind The No Comprendo mixes.
